A quick, healthy, and delicious Halal-friendly Greek Chicken Wrap packed with seasoned marinated chicken, fresh vegetables, and a creamy homemade tzatziki sauce.

1.5 lbs Halal Chicken Breast
3 tbsp Olive Oil
3 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
4 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Dried Oregano
1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
0.5 cup English Cucumber
1 tbsp Fresh Dill
4 large Halal Tortillas
1 cup Cherry Tomatoes
0.5 small Red Onio
0.5 cup Feta Cheese

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Place cubed halal chicken breasts into a medium-sized bowl. Add the olive oil, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir thoroughly to coat. Marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature (or up to two hours in the refrigerator)
  2. Step 2: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a splash of olive oil. Sauté marinated chicken for 6 to 8 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and develops a golden-brown crust. Set aside to rest
  3. Step 3: Grate the English cucumber and squeeze out excess moisture using a kitchen towel. In a small bowl, combine grated cucumber, plain Greek yogurt, fresh dill, one tablespoon of lemon juice, and one minced garlic clove. Stir well and season with a pinch of salt
  4. Step 4: Warm tortillas in a dry skillet for 15 seconds on each side. Spread a tablespoon of tzatziki sauce across the middle of each wrap, then add cherry tomatoes, red onions, crumbled feta, and cooked chicken. Fold the sides inward, roll up tightly, and slice in half

Notes

Squeeze the Cucumber: Squeezing excess water out of the grated cucumber prevents the tzatziki from becoming runny and making the wrap soggy.

Warm the Wraps: Warming tortillas makes them pliable and prevents tearing during assembly.

Avoid Overfilling: Do not overfill the wraps to ensure they fold easily and stay together.

High Heat Sear: Ensure the skillet is hot before adding chicken for beautiful caramelization.

Substitutions: Swap chicken for halal ground beef/lamb, or use gluten-free wraps. Skip wraps entirely for a low-carb bowl.
