These No Bake Peanut Butter Energy Balls are a wholesome, halal-friendly snack packed with protein, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates. They require zero oven time and are perfect for quick school snacks or post-workout fuel.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1/2 cup Halal Certified Honey or Maple Syrup
1/2 cup Ground Flaxseeds or Chia Seeds
1/2 cup Halal Certified Chocolate Chips
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/4 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, flaxseeds, and salt. Stir these dry ingredients until they are well incorporated
  2. Add the creamy peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Use a sturdy spatula to mix the thick dough thoroughly
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips and ensure they distribute evenly throughout the mixture
  4. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to make the dough easier to roll
  5. After chilling, use a small cookie scoop or a tablespoon to portion out the dough
  6. Roll the dough between your palms to form balls about one inch in diameter
  7. Place the finished energy balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet before transferring to an airtight storage container

Notes

If the dough feels too dry or crumbly, add an extra tablespoon of honey or peanut butter. If it feels too sticky, add a few more tablespoons of oats.

Wet your hands slightly with water or a tiny bit of coconut oil before rolling to prevent the mixture from sticking to your skin.

Do not skip the chilling step! Cold dough holds its shape much better than room-temperature dough.

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to three months.
